High-rises, new and old, are typical
Flushing is home to both pre- and post-war high-rise apartment buildings. Landmark-worthy Beaux-Arts buildings stand next to Georgian and Greek revival condos, which offer one-bedroom units for $500,000.
In recent years, new neighbors have joined these historic buildings. Modern glass and steel high-rises have increased the housing options in Flushing. One example is Flushing Commons, a 1.8 million-square-foot mixed-use complex near the Main Street 7 Line Station. This building offers luxury condominiums that range in price from $750,000 studios to $3 million condos with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
According to Riva Zheng, a licensed real estate agent with Tru International Realty Corp, East West Plaza, a seven-story residential building on College Point Boulevard, is the newest project to be completed. Modern one-bedroom condos are available here for just over $600,000.
