Developed between the early 1910s and mid-20th century, Five Points East is a historic residential community located 2 miles from downtown Raleigh. “It’s been a desirable neighborhood for decades,” says Lexie Batchelor, a principal broker with Dogwood Properties who has sold several homes in the area. This neighborhood has two historic districts: Roanoke Park and Vanguard Park, which are both defined by rows of vintage homes along tree-lined suburban streets. Homebuyers are drawn to this neighborhood for its well-established character, zoning for highly rated public schools and convenient location near the downtown area.
