Raritan Township Hunterdon offers a mix of rural atmosphere and suburban sprawl and is the most populous town in Hunterdon County, according to the 2020 Census. The town is anchored by the business-dense borough of Flemington, which also serves as the county seat. Its prime location halfway between Philadelphia and Manhattan makes it appealing to East Coast commuters, and smaller cities like Trenton and Newark are also roughly an hour from home. “It’s appealing for the good quality schools and the overall good balance of what you get for your money, as far as the size of the house and lot versus what you’d pay if you were buying northeast of here,” says Mark Jacobson, a Raritan-based Realtor with Corcoran Sawyer Smith.
