Woodside Plaza
Shopping and dining steps from home
Named for the community, Woodside Plaza is the neighborhood’s one-stop-shopping center. Lucky Supermarket provides groceries, while retailers like Michaels and Rite Aid Pharmacy let people find fun and essentials. The plaza has plenty of dining options, too. Redwood Grill specializes in California-style comfort food. Launched in 2016, the restaurant welcomes guests with twinkling fairy lights and the rich smells of smoked ribs and rotisserie chickens. Breaker’s Cafe is a popular breakfast spot with various benedicts, omelets and crepes. Located by Roosevelt Elementary School, Big Brothers Burgers serves 100% California grazed and raised Angus beef alongside local produce for its innovative takes on an American classic.Multiple green spaces with playgrounds and all-age activities
Maddux Park rests in the center of the neighborhood. Less than an acre in size, the pocket space has a grassy area, picnic tables and a large playground with water features. Red Morton Park lies just north of Woodside Plaza. It covers 32 acres and is home to Magical Bridge Playground. Designed to accommodate children of all ability levels, the playground is divided into specialized sections for spinning, sliding and swinging. Youth and adults use the tennis courts, soccer field and swimming pool, in addition to horseshoe pits and a baseball diamond. Forty-two-acre Stulsaft Park and several public golf clubs, like Emerald Hills Golf Course, are nearby.A mix of housing styles along curving residential streets
The neighborhood is made up of original and updated ranch-style and split-level homes from the 1950s. More contemporary condominium complexes can be found on Woodside Road. The densely populated community features curving, tree-lined streets and front lawns landscaped with shrubs and flowers. “There are lots of young families and retirees. Some families have lived there for generations. Once people purchase there, they tend to stay. It’s got a traditional neighborhood feel, with everyone looking out for each other,” says Alsaegh. Homes sell for a median price of $2 million after 25 days. Condos start around $725,000 and continue to $1.25 million, while single-family homes range from $1 million to $3 million.STEAM programs and career courses

A-rated Woodside High prepares students for the future with various career technical education courses, specialized academies and concurrent enrollment with several community colleges.Traveling by car or foot through Redwood City
