Reminderville communities like Aurora Shores draw people in
Reminderville draws people in with its planned communities and access to the outdoors. “Honestly, it’s about the lifestyle,” says Michelle Tyszka, Realtor with Re/Max Haven. “It’s a very vacation-type of lifestyle.” This is mainly because of Aurora Shores, which makes up most of the housing market in the city. Residents enjoy private access to a lake, pools and parks, and the community works with the city to plan events like the annual Fourth of July Parade. While there are few options for shopping and dining, Aurora and Twinsburg are less than 5 miles away.
Recreation includes Aurora Lake, Metro Parks and Gleneagles Golf Club
Aurora Lake is a 340-acre private lake for residents of Aurora Shores. “There’s not anything like it,” Tyszka says. People are seen boating, fishing, water skiing and kayaking. While some lakefront properties have private docks, most people keep their boats at the Aurora Shores Marina. Residents of the Shores also enjoy a private beach, two swimming pools, playgrounds and tennis and pickleball courts. The city maintains Ray Williams Park, which has a playground and picnic area. At Liberty Park, part of the Summit Metro Parks System, nearly 12 miles of trails go through wetlands and past rocky ledges. Gleneagles Golf Club is a public, 18-hole course about 2 miles outside the city. Locals can practice their swing at 1899 Indoor Golf, which has a cocktail lounge.
Aurora Shores is the largest planned community in the area
Sidewalks line many residential streets, letting people stroll past manicured lawns dotted by trees. Aurora Shores is the largest residential community in Reminderville. “I have a lot of repeat buyers,” Tyszka says. “People will move into a condo, then decide they are ready for a home, and eventually downsize back to a condo.” Properties date back to the 1970s, including bi-levels, split-levels, ranch-style houses and Colonial Revivals. There are also many New Traditional homes in and out of the Shores, which were built as recently as the 2020s. Prices for a single-family house typically range from $250,000 to $630,000, depending on size and age. “The housing prices are a little less expensive,” says Amy McDougald Eckard, Realtor with Keller Williams Chervenic Realty. There are also some condos, which cost $140,000 to $300,000.
Events like the Fourth of July Parade are family friendly
Reminderville puts on events like Family Fun Day, with kid friendly activities, including a petting zoo, face painting and games. For the city's Santa Toy Delivery event, locals drop gifts so Santa can hand-deliver them to children before the holidays. Aurora Shores partners with the city to put on the annual Fourth of July Parade, where bicyclists, classic cars and patriotic floats ride through the streets. It ends at the Marina with a picnic.
Homes are zoned for highly rated Twinsburg and Aurora schools
Most of Reminderville is in the Twinsburg City School District. Dodge Elementary School and Chamberlin Middle School both earn an A from Niche. Twinsburg High School receives an A-minus and partners with Cuyahoga Valley Career Center to offer programs like cosmetology and architectural and mechanical design. Some of Reminderville is part of the Aurora City School District.

In Aurora, Nicky & Smitty’s Deli & Restaurant is known for its comfort-style cooking and breakfast menu. While the Discount Drug Mart in Reminderville has some essentials, Heinen’s in Twinsburg has more groceries. Cars and golf carts share the road in Reminderville
While residents can walk, bike or take their golf carts to get around Reminderville, cars are needed to get anywhere else. Nearby highways like state Routes 43 and 82 lead to Aurora and Twinsburg, respectively. Regency Hospital in Cleveland East is about 10 miles away. Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and Akron-Canton Airport are both within 40 miles. “We always check both,” Tyszka says. “I normally go to Akron because it’s less hassle.”
