The 21-acre Nicholl Park serves as Metro Richmore Village’s recreation hub. Vintage homes at the heart of Richmond
Unlike the nearby Metro Walk neighborhood that was developed near the BART station in the 2000s, Metro Richmore Village traces its origins to the first half of the 20th century. Both neighborhoods take their names from their easy rail access, referencing Metro Richmore Village’s origins as a community of dock workers who took the train to the city’s four wartime shipyards. This neighborhood has never lost its vintage character, even as its prewar ranch-style homes have been renovated.
