On 36th Street, tidy rows of brick Cape Cods evoke a "Monopoly house" shape with a rectangular makeup and pitched roof. One block over, 35th Street has compact ranch-style homes with low-slung frames and large front windows. Thirty-Fourth Street is dominated by Craftsman-style bungalows with unenclosed eave overhangs and wide front porches. Paved sidewalks line these residential roads and connect to short, private paths leading right to the front door.
