A blend of city and country living in Richville
Richville is a primarily residential neighborhood on the outskirts of Massillon. “It’s on the way to the countryside, but still close to city plazas,” says Alex Myers, a Realtor with Howard Hanna who has been working in the area for over five years. While there are few businesses in the neighborhood, the ones there are staples of Richville, including the long-standing Lighthouse Grill, which has been around for over 100 years. Though only 5 miles from the city center, Richville has a suburban-rural feel to it. “You're not somewhere where there's just dense housing everywhere; that’s one of the things people like about living out in Richville,” says John Williams, an agent with RE/MAX Edge Realty. “There are several working farms in the area that give it that country feel.” 1885 Farms serves as an event venue, while Zoe Farms sells meat and produce. The neighborhood also borders several major highways, allowing residents easy access to downtown Massillon.
Modern homes and ranch-style homes
Ranch-style and new traditional homes with colonial influences sit on lawns stretching to the wide roads, giving the neighborhood a suburban-rural feel. Covered porches are a common feature of the neighborhood, as well as attached garages and large, multi-car driveways. On average, prices range from $130,000 to $300,000, while a few homes needing TLC go for $50,000 to $90,000.
