Woodmore is a small, wooded neighborhood centrally located in Chattanooga. This established suburb of grassy hills and winding streams provides a quiet pocket amongst the urban activity of downtown Chattanooga. Woodmore is near Volkswagen's North American assembly plant and an Amazon distribution center, which employs thousands of people collectively. Downtown Chattanooga is a 5-mile drive via Tennessee Interstates 153 and 58. Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport is a 3-mile drive via local streets. Some houses have off-street parking, while others have attached or detached garages.

Hiking along the levee
Tacoa Park, a 2-mile drive on local streets, features a basketball court, playground and picnic tables. Woodmore residents can go walking or hiking at the Brainerd Levee, which was built to prevent flood waters from South Chickamauga Creek from damaging the Brainerd neighborhoods. This structure created a freshwater marsh and seasonal mudflats. Habitats include a cattail marsh, seasonal mudflats, wet fields, wet woods, shallow ponds and riparian woods. Access is via a paved trail atop the 2.6-mile-long embankment. South of Woodmore is Camp Jordan Park, a sprawling former pasture that boasts many amenities. These include a zipline, a ropes course, an amphitheater and many different athletic fields for baseball, volleyball and soccer. For indoor recreation, Chris L. Ramsey, Sr. Community Center hosts summer camps, athletic programs and social events for residents of all ages.

High school offers AP classes
Students can walk to and start their education at Woodmore Elementary School, which has a C-plus from Niche. Dalewood Middle School has a C grade. Brainerd High School, with a C score from Niche, has several Advanced Placement classes. The school also provides the Future Ready Institutes, which offers career-focused study programs in areas ranging from aviation to culinary arts.
Many Woodmore locals and students enjoy exercising around the track at Brainerd High School.
