Popular community-oriented Louisville neighborhood
As its name suggests, the city of Rolling Fields used to be lush farmland. Today, it's a sprawling Louisville suburb with an active, family-centric community. “Rolling Fields is definitely a community-oriented neighborhood,” says Realtor and long-time Louisville resident Nanette Tafel. “Families seek out this location because it’s so convenient and centrally placed.” From its roots as farmland, the neighborhood has grown into a residential hub just 15 minutes from the bustle of Downtown Louisville.

Established homes made new again
The winding streets here are home to Colonial Revival and ranch styles, with well-maintained yards providing a pleasant landscape. Trees line the narrow roadways and evoke the feel of modern suburbia with one foot rooted in the past. “Most houses were built in the 40s and 50s,” Tafel says, emphasizing that the age of homes doesn’t bother those looking to move to the sought-after neighborhood. “People spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on renovations and additions in order to stay in the popular location.” Due to high demand, the coveted city has a high price per square foot, Tafel adds. The median price for real estate here hovers at $738,000, with homes ranging from $480,000 to $1.4 million. Condos are also available, listing between $130,000 and $314,000.
