Roseville master-planned neighborhood with new homes
Set about 5 miles from downtown Roseville, the master-planned community of Campus Oaks is one of the city’s newest neighborhoods, with many of its Mediterranean-style homes built in the early 2020s. Residential streets are found in the western end, while industrial businesses and Hewlett Packard’s corporate office sit in the eastern and southeastern ends, where many locals work. The area is also known for a strong school system. The main draw, according to Spencer Smith, Realtor with Nick Sadek Sotheby's International Realty, who has been practicing real estate in the area for over 13 years and lives nearby, is that the area has a strong infrastructure. “The key to Roseville's sought-after reputation is that the city owns and operates its own utility infrastructure. It's more cost-effective, and your water, trash and electricity appear on one bill.”
Career Technical Education Pathways at Oakmont High School
Local kids may attend Roseville City Elementary district schools, including Blue Oaks Elementary, which earns an A-minus from Niche and provides STEAM-based programs. Robert C. Cooley Middle earns an A-minus as well, and takes part in the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program, which helps students make daily positive choices. They then can head to the Roseville Joint Union High district schools, including A-minus-rated Oakmont High, where students can enroll in a Career Technical Education Pathway program in areas like construction technology, graphic design or culinary arts.
Pickleball at Campus Oaks Park
Roseville continues to add neighborhood green spaces, including Campus Oaks’ latest park of the same name. Campus Oaks Park spans over 8 acres, offering pickleball courts, a covered picnic area and a fenced-in dog park. The Cokeva Galaxy Blues grass soccer complex sits nearby and is used for local league play. Roughly 2-acre Crimson Ridge Park is just west of Roseville Parkway, with open areas large enough for a pick-up football game. Golfers can head a few miles south of the neighborhood to play 18 holes at the Woodcreek Golf Club, then enjoy happy hour at the club’s bar and grill.
Hand-crafted hot dogs at Dog Haus Biergarten
Smith says the dining scene here is growing. One local favorite, Dog Haus Biergarten toward the north, serves hand-crafted hot dogs, burgers and craft beer, as well as their famous breakfast burritos. Nearby, MOD Pizza offers counter-serve customizable pies with up to 11-inch-thick crusts. Grocery stores include Nuggets Market and Safeway in the neighborhood’s northwest corner. Big-box stores like Walmart are located east toward the bypass, while retailers and department stores, such as Macy’s, are found at the Westfield Galleria at Roseville 5 miles southeast.
