Cirby Ranch
Suburban Neighborhood in Roseville, California
Placer County 95661
Late 20th-century homes on short cul-de-sacs
Cirby Ranch is primarily residential, with single-family homes from the 1970s and ’80s set along winding, sidewalk-lined streets and short cul-de-sacs. Bungalows feature brick exteriors, white contrast trim and red tile roofs, while split-level and two-story homes have steeply sloped roofs and large windows. An eclectic mix of mature trees, including palm maple and sycamore, shade small front yards and prominent two- to three-car garages. The three- to six-bedroom properties here range from $500,000 to $900,000.Local playgrounds and athletic fields at Maidu Regional Park
Crestmont Park is next to Crestmont Elementary, a mile east, and has become a favorite after-school spot for families with students there. The space has a shaded playground, and Little League games are often hosted at the park’s baseball fields. Maidu Regional Park is a mile away north, offering 54 acres of softball fields, basketball courts and bike paths. The park was named after the Nisenan and Maidu people, native inhabitants of Roseville, and it celebrates this history with the Maidu Museum and Historic Site. The park also houses the Maidu Branch Library, the Veteran's Memorial Rose Garden and a concrete skate park.Highly rated schools, including Oakmont High
Cirby Ranch is zoned for the Roseville City School District. According to Tyler Kuresa, Realtor at Kuresa Realty and a Cirby Ranch native, locals favor its top-rated schools, and families often stay long enough for multiple generations to attend. “Buyers from out of town view the Roseville District almost like a destination," he says. "It’s definitely a draw, and I understand it. My children go to Crestmont Elementary, which was actually the school that I went to growing up.” Crestmont Elementary and Warren T. Eich Middle both earn a B-plus from Niche. The A-minus-rated Oakmont High, set in the neighborhood’s northeast corner, offers construction technology and health careers programs, as well as several esports teams.Family events hosted at Maidu Regional Park
Local parks sometimes host free community events, like the Family Day Extravaganza, held in September at Maidu Regional Park. The event is organized by local businesses like the Studio Martial Arts & Fitness and includes a car show, bounce houses and live music.Commuting on Interstate 80 and Roseville Transit buses
The nearest Interstate 80 interchange is just 2 miles away, leading 18 miles to downtown Sacramento. Roseville Transit offers several local bus routes, along with commuter routes that stretch into Sacramento. The Capital Corridor, an intercity passenger rail that runs from San Jose to Auburn, is another commuter option, and the Roseville station is less than 5 miles away. The Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Center is about 3 miles north, while Sacramento International Airport is 24 miles away.Popular neighborhood eateries include Rose Garden Restaurant
A small shopping plaza in the neighborhood’s northwest corner is anchored by Bel Air grocery store and Peet’s Coffee. Here, the family-owned Rose Garden Restaurant serves Chinese in a fast-casual setting. “It’s the best Chinese food I’ve ever had," Kuresa says. "Actually, the community really came together during COVID to support the family; that’s how much people love their food.” Just north, there are more locally owned spots like The Glass Turtle, a neighborhood bar. There are also popular regional and national chains like the Old Spaghetti Factory, which serves Italian food. About 4 miles north, on the other side of Interstate 80, is Fountains at Roseville, an outdoor mall with higher-end chain retailers, and Galleria Mall, an indoor shopping center with a Cinemark movie theatre.
