A country club and private park in Willow Springs

Willow Springs surrounds the Country Club of Roswell. “There’s a great sense of community in the neighborhood,” says Cathy Treible, a real estate agent with the Treible Sullivan Team for Ansley Real Estate. Treible lived in the neighborhood for 30 years, and she and her partner have sold property in Willow Springs for over two decades. She says the area’s eclectic style of homes and proximity to shopping and recreation areas are a big draw. A private park for residents brings people together for movie nights, campouts and other activities.

Various price points and home styles to choose from

The neighborhood has a mix of houses, including plenty of ranch-style and traditional homes. Most homes were built in the late 1970s and 1980s. Prices range from about $700,000 to $850,000 for homes on smaller lots, to $960,000 to $1.5 million for those on larger lots. Treible says many of the smaller homes are within the neighborhood’s subsections, including Camden Glen and Kinross. “What we’re finding is that a lot of people raise their families in the main part of Willow Springs, but then because they have so many friends and they love the neighborhood and they love the country club, they sell their homes and move into one of these three cluster communities,” she says. Towering trees line most of the streets, which have no sidewalks. Right along Old Alabama Road is a small, gated community of townhomes built in 2005. They sell for between $550,000 and $750,000.

A-rated public schools and an IB program at Centennial High School

Children are zoned for Fulton County Schools. They attend Northwood Elementary School, Haynes Bridge Middle School and Centennial High School. All three are rated A on Niche. Centennial is one of four Fulton County high schools that offers an International Baccalaureate diploma. The program emphasizes critical thinking and encourages learning concepts from a multicultural perspective.

Events at the neighborhood park and other recreation options nearby

Willow Springs Park, which is open to all residents and not just members of the country club, has many neighborhood events. “They host music concerts at the pavilion, they have movie nights, there’s a community garden down there,” Treible says. The park also has a basketball court and playground. Johns Creek’s Newtown Park is less than 2 miles east along Old Alabama Road. It has numerous athletic fields, playgrounds, a senior center and a Veterans Memorial Walk. The Big Creek Greenway, a more than 20-mile paved trail going through multiple cities, is accessible from the neighborhood. “I literally used to jump on my bike and ride from my house and get on the Greenway,” Treible says.

Nearby grocery stores and a quick drive to Avalon mall

Multiple grocery stores can be found just east of the neighborhood. Kroger, Publix and The Fresh Market are all near the intersection of Old Alabama Road and Haynes Bridge Road. The same plazas also have several restaurants, including Altobeli's Restaurant and Piano Bar, an Italian restaurant that features nightly live music. The neighborhood is also not far from Downtown Roswell and Avalon, a large shopping mall in Alpharetta.

Easy access to Georgia State Route 400

Willow Springs is less than 2 miles from Georgia State Route 400. “In Atlanta, getting to the highway is sometimes worse than once you’re even on it, so the fact that we’re so close to it is huge,” Treible says. Atlanta is about 25 miles south. The area’s CAP Index crime score is 2 out of 10, lower than the national average of 4.
