Renovated American Foursquares and colonials line Main Street
Running east and west through the center of town, Main Street is populated with homes from the late 1800s. From American Foursquares to colonials, these 19th-century homes exude historic charm in what feels like an old-world village. Those with newly renovated interiors sell for around $400,000 to $450,000. Others with less recent modifications range from $250,000 to $350,000. There are also newer colonial and craftsman style homes in housing developments. Some offer many surrounding trees that feel like a forest, while others display sprawling corn fields from the backyard. Ranging from 1,500 to 2,500 square feet, these three-to-four-bedroom homes sell anywhere from $350,000 to $500,000.

Historic restaurants and longtime favorites serve Rothsville locals
Though Main Street is primarily residential, there are two popular restaurants that have been serving the community for decades. White Swan is located in the oldest building in Rothsville, built in 1790. It has served many purposes over the years, transitioning from a blacksmith and butcher shop, an orchard, horse stables and a hotel. Today, it’s purpose is to serve hungry locals, whether by the indoor fireplace, at the bar or on the cozy outdoor patio. Caruso’s Family Italian Restaurant is just a couple blocks away. The Lancaster regional chain has been serving the community for more than 30 years, offering Italian-American dishes like pizza, subs and wings. For everyday shopping needs, there’s a shopping center with a Target and GIANT about four miles away in Lititz. There are also many farmer’s markets in the surrounding area.

Paved trail connects Rothsville to Warwick and Lititz
One of the major draws to Rothsville is the 7-mile Warwick to Ephrata Rail Trail. “A lot of people want to live near the rail trail,” says Noah Martin, Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway. “It’s become a real community hub.” The paved trail, built along the old Reading Railroad, has beautiful farmland and walkers can head either four miles east to Warwick or three miles to Lititz. Lions Park offers more outdoor fun for locals. Hang out with friends and family at the pavilion and choose to either play basketball, pickleball or beach volleyball. There’s a shaded playground for kids to enjoy too.
