Inderkum High School offers AVID
Children may begin their studies at H. Allen Hight Elementary School, which earns a B-minus from Niche. Students can then continue on at Natomas Middle School and Inderkum High School, which receive C-plus and A-minus grades respectively. Inderkum High School offers various programs to its students, one being AVID, a nationally recognized college readiness system. AVID was developed by middle and high school teachers in collaboration with college professors.

The neighborhood is close to various parks and greenery. Kokomo Park is a 7-acre plot of land with amenities such as a basketball court, sports fields, and picnic tables. For walking and biking, Redbud Park’s bike trail is an ideal destination to get in some cardio. Residents can experience the outdoors on a larger scale at North Natomas Regional Park. Spanning over 212 acres, Natomas features an aquatic complex, a dog park, a theater and hosts a farmer’s market.

Shopping and dining in Creekside
Creekside Sacramento offers several options for groceries. One is The Sprouts Farmer’s Market, which serves all organic and health-conscious food and produce. There’s also Safeway Rite Aid at the Natomas Town Center. Restaurants like Sourdough & Co. specialize in sandwiches like the savory smoked brisket. Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza won’t disappoint — especially with menu items like the savory Chicken Bacon Artichoke pizza with garlic sauce. Residents head to the Cakes by Jeff the Chef for a sweet treat.

Swimming in the American River
Other places to gather include the American River, a popular spot for residents of Sacramento. Residents can swim, fish, or lounge by the river. Art lovers will enjoy the Crocker Art Museum, which is well-known for its extensive collection of international ceramics and drawings by European artists. The California State Railroad Museum is located in the Old Sacramento Historic District. Creekside also has a neighborhood association that plans events but is currently in the process of reorganizing. More information about the association can be found on the City of Sacramento website.

Traveling with Interstate 5
The west side of Creekside is bordered by Interstate 5, which residents can use to travel to other cities. Interstate 5 leads to the Sacramento International Airport, only about a 5-mile drive away. There are also bus stops located on Del Paso Rd.
