Gray's Creek appeals to military families

Just 13 miles from Fayetteville but a lifestyle apart, the Gray’s Creek neighborhood provides residents with an eclectic mix of activities, like bull riding, golf and race car driving. This rural North Carolina community also offers proximity to Fort Bragg military base, so it’s a popular spot for the service men and women stationed there. “It’s got a great school system and Fort Bragg is a big attraction for military families,” says Kena Skipper, a Realtor with EXP Realty, who’s been selling homes in the area for four years.

Public school students zoned for well-rated Cumberland County Schools district schools

Public school students may attend Gray’s Creek Elementary, Gray’s Creek Middle and Gray’s Creek High. Part of the Cumberland County Schools district, all three schools earn solid B Niche grades. The high school is home to the Academy of Information Technology, which aims to prepare students with the skills they need for careers in IT. “The schools are a big draw,” says Heather Edwards, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Advantage, who’s been selling homes in the area for five years. “The people I’ve sold to tend to want to have their kids there. It’s a more rural area with a lot of family-oriented things to do.”
