Station View offers a compact neighborhood outside of downtown

Located in central St. Petersburg but still about 4 miles away from the downtown area, Station View offers residential comforts near many amenities.

Palm- and oak-shaded homes in St. Petersburg

Towering palm and other evergreen trees provide shade for the quiet suburban streets that make up this small community, providing plenty of shade for an afternoon walk. You’ll feel like you’re taking a step back in time when walking through this neighborhood, as many of the homes in the area were built in the 1950s. All of the houses in the community have paved driveways, and some come with enclosed garages. You can find a 3-bedroom, 1,250 square-foot home for $425,000, though that is on the high end of the price range as many homes have recently sold between $230,000 and $350,000.

Students zoned to highly rated St. Petersburg High

Students in the area will likely attend public schools in the Pinellas County Schools district, which has an overall A-minus grade from Niche and several highly rated schools, including St. Petersburg High School, which has an overall A grade. Students at St. Petersburg High can receive dual enrollment credits for St. Pete College while in school and join one of the many clubs and programs available, including the award-winning chorus and band or the basketball team that was the state runner-up in 2022. Before attending St. Petersburg, though, students will start at New Heights Elementary School, followed by Tyrone Middle School, which both have overall C-plus ratings from Niche.

5 miles from waterfront at North Shore Park

If you want to spend the day outdoors, there are several options around. Woodlawn Park is a hub for outdoor sports amenities, with various lighted athletic courts and fields where you might catch a softball or football game. Or, spend the day at North Shore Park, which is only 5 miles away from the neighborhood. As one of the many beach parks along the coastline, residents can come here to play a game of beach volleyball or just lay on the sand and get a tan. You can watch the dolphins at Vinoy Park, an expansive outdoor space that hosts the Reggae Rise Up concert and more. Dog parents can take their pups to Crescent Lake Dog Park, which has two fenced-in areas for small and large dogs.

Live music, specialty groceries along 34th Street

Station View is bounded to the west by 34th Street North, which is lined with various shops and dining options. You can get groceries and any daily essentials from Elias Deli and get a filling sub for lunch. There are several markets around including the Orlando Latin Market, and if you need a prescription filled head to Bailey’s Pharmacy. Smokin’ 19 has everything from your barbecue favorites to live music and free pool, making it a go-to place anytime during the week. St. Anthony’s Hospital is also just 3 miles away for residents in need of medical care. St. Anthony’s offers a wide range of services from emergency care to neurosciences.

Bus stops to the north and west, I-275 to the east

In addition to being close to downtown, residents have ample access to public transportation along 38th Avenue North and 34th Avenue. Proximity to Interstate 275 makes it easy for commuters to get to and from work.

GreatSchools: The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
