Bridgewood is a suburban community in Northwest San Antonio

In Northwest San Antonio, Bridgewood is a residential area blending suburban charm with urban convenience. It’s next to the Cross Creek subdivision, and the two communities offer a host of recreational amenities alongside Loop 1604 just outside the city limits. “Property taxes are a little bit lower in Bexar County, and San Antonio is very accommodating to every type of lifestyle,” says Tre Serrano, a Realtor with the Cavalry Realty Group. With lower taxes and a central location, Bridgewood offers comparative affordability without sacrificing highway access and proximity to downtown San Antonio, less than 25 miles away. The suburb is also part of the top-rated Northside Independent School District, which earns an overall grade of B-plus from Niche.
