Stadium Way blends ballpark energy with everyday living
Stadium Way mixes suburban comforts, industrial centers and commercial attractions in downtown San Bernardino. The San Manuel Stadium gives the neighborhood its name and is home to the Inland Empire 66ers. Stadium Way's quaint bungalows and local restaurants are all within proximity to major San Bernardino thoroughfares. The San Manuel Stadium is the main fixture of the neighborhood, though local service vendors and retailers often are just a short walk down the street from most homes.
Vintage homes with modern upgrades
Many of the homes in Stadium Way were built in the 1940s and 1950s and are typically on the small side, sporting the design touches of bungalows and traditional shotgun-style homes. Houses feature stucco exteriors along with fenced-in and landscaped yards with cozy interiors. Progressive Properties Realtor Jeff Teel says, “The community is primarily commercial, though the houses there are established, the schools are nice, plus metro and freeway access gets you in and out quickly.” Some homes feature modern amenities like roof-mounted solar panels. Still, all homes are within a couple of miles of Metrolink stations, providing public transportation elsewhere in the Inland Empire and east Los Angeles. Stadium Way’s home prices range from $200,000 to as much as $425,000.
Students start at Dominguez Elementary before moving up the ranks
Public school students are served by the San Bernardino City Unified School District, beginning their academic careers at primary schools like H. Frank Dominguez Elementary, which has a C plus Niche rating and teaches kindergarten through sixth grade. Students move on to intermediate and secondary institutions such as Curtis Middle and Indian Springs High School, the latter of which has an overall B minus Niche rating. This high school built over 56 acres of new and updated facilities in 2010, including 102 classrooms, a gymnasium, athletic fields and a performing arts building.
Ball games, lakeside strolls and alpine getaways
Nearby parks and national forests provide locals with the perfect opportunity to get active or to get away from it all. Locals can catch the 66ers play at San Manuel Stadium, operating since the 1990s and featuring both stadium and lawn seating. After school, kids meet on the playground at Meadowbrook Park. Just down Sierra Way is the Seccombe Lake Recreation Area, ringed by a half-mile walking trail with lake views. Taking the freeway north leads to the San Bernardino Mountains and National Forest, with miles of hiking, mountain biking, equestrian trails, campgrounds and alpine getaways like Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake.

GreatSchools:
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
