Golden Gates Heights, a neighborhood with a view
With beautiful homes carved into steep hillsides and views of the ocean, the Bay and the surrounding cityscape, Golden Gate Heights is a well-kept secret in the outskirts of San Francisco. Wedged between Twin Peaks and the Sunset District near the Pacific fringe of the city, it's primarily known for one thing: its stunning views. "If you're moving to Golden Gate Heights, you're moving there for the views. It's for people who love the sunset over the city," says Realtor Michael Bellings of Compass Real Estate. While Golden Gate Heights might be almost hidden away in the hills, it's just a quick drive to the bustling districts of central San Francisco. With a variety of homes and minutes from the vibrant Irving Street corridor, this neighborhood is perfect for those looking for a peaceful retreat that's still within reach of great restaurants, parks and cultural attractions.
