Prices for well-maintained midcentury homes and some newer properties
Midcentury ranch-style homes sit close together along Bucknall’s walkable streets, mixed with some 21st-century New Traditional homes. “Bucknall’s getting a lot of investment,” says Ashwin Veeravalli, a real estate agent with The Agency who’s sold homes in the area for over 10 years. “A lot of people are investing to expand and remodel the homes. You can find large brand-new construction and big remodels. It’s a good mix of properties, and you can see the 1960s and ‘70s homes are being taken care of and upgraded.” The lots here are large enough for additions or accessory dwelling units. “It’s popular for people who have backyards to add another unit as a rental or for their adult kids to live in,” says Ayelet Gingold, who’s sold homes in the area for more than 20 years and is a founding partner of Agam Real Estate, a partner at Side, Inc. “A lot of people that have moved here in recent years improve the old properties.” Home prices vary widely depending on square footage and recent renovations, mostly ranging from $1.5 million to $2.9 million. Larger builds with more than 3,000 square feet are rarer, typically ranging from $3.2 million to $4.6 million.
