I don't remember my freshman and sophomore years at Prospect High School because of COVID-19. I do have a very vivid memory of freshman year on my first day of high school when it seemed like a whole other world. One where I haven't been in the same classes with the same people for the past three years. During freshman year I not only met new people but got to experience new things. Fast-forwarding to my junior year when my school started to in-person classes again. It was not only very different energy but new teachers and classmates. Again, sports were my main focus along with school, but my teachers were such a big part of my experience. My junior year AVID Teacher made his classroom a community for everyone and was the one teacher who made the class feel more like a family than just classmates. In addition my senior year government teacher not only made class educational but it became one of the classes I miss the most now that Im a graduated student.

Most of the teachers are great however some can be a bit pushy and sometimes tend to not care about a student's stress. The curriculum is great but some students can feel left behind with no help.

At the same time the school is taking steps to bring disadvantaged kids to improve their participation in AP cla...
