Garfield Elementary has a C-plus grade on Niche, while Sierra Preparatory Academy, which serves local middle school students, has a C grade. While there isn’t much greenspace within the neighborhood itself, there are a number of popular parks in the immediate vicinity of the neighborhood, including Cabrillo Park and Mabury Park, which offer playgrounds, basketball courts and athletic fields. The petite but popular Santa Ana Zoo is located just outside the neighborhood — within easy walking distance of many homes — and is home to over 350 animals and a few child-oriented rides.
