Sappington houses are priced lower than most St. Louis suburbs. The neighborhood has winding streets lined with split-levels and ranch-style houses from the mid-1900s and custom-built houses from the 2000s. The Claire Gempp-Davidson Memorial Conservation Area has butterfly gardens and trails traversing preserved prairies, wetlands and woodlands. The park offers educational experiences for nature lovers of all ages and is regularly frequented by Lindbergh High School students working on community service projects.Just north of Sappington is Grant’s Farm, a historical site owned by the Busch family since 1903, which has been converted into an event space and animal sanctuary, supporting over 900 animals. Animal caretakers offer private tours of the sanctuary — including the chance to pet the World-Renowned Budweiser Clydesdales! — while a tram leads visitors through the park to the Bauernhof Courtyard, where they can enjoy a free beer tasting, carousel rides and German food. This site is open on the weekends and spaces can be rented out for special events.
A-rated public schools
Students in Sappington may attend one of three elementary schools in the area: Concord Elementary, rated A- by Niche, Kennerly Elementary, rated B+, and Sappington Elementary, rated A¬-. After elementary, students may attend Robert H. Sperreng Middle School, rated B+, and Lindbergh Senior High School, rated A and recognized by Newsweek, U.S. News, World Report and the Washington Post as one of America’s top high schools.Those who prefer to explore private schooling options may enroll in Providence Classical Christian Academy, rated A by Niche, which enrolls students from preschool through high school.
St. Louis commute
Getting to downtown St. Louis from Sappington takes roughly 20 minutes via interstates 55 or 44. Locals have access to two major roads: Blues Highway and Gravois Road, which connect to other parts of St. Louis city and county. While bus routes extend through the surrounding suburbs from downtown, none are particularly close to Sappington or convenient for daily commutes.Sappington’s quiet streets are home to nearly 8,000 residents who make the most of the neighborhood’s well-ranked schools and convenient amenities.
Supermarkets and restaurants
Shopping in Sappington is convenient: the Southfield Center off Baptist Church Road has a Schnucks supermarket and restaurants including Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers. St. Louis’ Incredible Pizza Company, a favorite local gathering spot, features go-karts, rides and arcade games. Rollercade Roller Skate Center and Pirate’s Crusade Mini Golf offer family-friendly activities, and Concord Bowl and Recreation’s 32 lanes are popular for their recurring bowling competitions.

The town is great! It has a small town feel without being to cut off from busier areas. I would like to see more businesses brought to the area.

Niche Review
The area is generally pretty good. There have been a lot of compliments at events, especially sporting, that our fans and citizens are the least obnoxious and don't start riots. There's a lot to do, but everything good costs money and the great stuff is expensive. I've lived in the same place my entire life so I can't really compare it to other places.
