Though there are no sidewalks in Arguello, the quiet streets allow for neighborhood strolls and bike rides. Cul-de-sacs are lined with flowers and manicured shrubs. “Arguello has smaller lots of 6,000 to 8,000 square feet,” Pulpan says. “Its development was about a decade later than Blue Hills’. It was built by the same builder.” Single-story homes are common, and styles vary from contemporary to Mediterranean-influenced properties. Prices range from $3.5 million to $7.5 million; higher-priced properties are generally closer to the Santa Cruz Mountains with more square footage. Typical features include solar panels and multicar garages.

Saratoga’s top-rated public schools
The neighborhood is zoned for three different, highly-rated school districts. Students living at the southern tip of Arguello attend Saratoga Union District, which includes Argonaut Elementary, rated A on Niche, Redwood Middle, rated A and Saratoga High, rated A-plus. The high school’s robotics team has a track record of success, most recently winning the 2024 U.S. Open Nationals.

A few local bus stops are on Saratoga Sunnyvale Road, but Arguello is mostly car-dependent. State Route 85 leads northwest to the tech hubs in Cupertino, Sunnyvale and Mountain View. El Camino Health – Los Gatos Hospital is about 6 miles away, and San Jose Mineta International Airport is about 15 miles away.
Bus 51 is the main bus ride on Saratoga Sunnyvale Road in Arguello.
State Route 85 access is minutes away from Arguello.
