Desirable midcentury homes fill the area

Many of these homes are single-story ranchers and bungalows that start at about 800 square feet and reach roughly 1,800 square feet. Some of the homes here were originally built smaller than they currently are, but were added on later, says local Realtor Tommy Danos, of ERA Southeast Coastal Real Estate. Properties here line quiet residential streets and some of them feature sidewalks. Lots in this area span from about one-tenth of an acre to one-fifth of an acre. Houses here sell for prices anywhere from the $200,000s to the $500,000s depending on the size. People want to get their hands on these properties, too. “They’re sought after,” says Danos, who has been selling in the area for well over 20 years. “There’s usually not a whole lot available in there because it is convenient to a whole lot of things.”
