Keels and Wheels

Seabrook has a vibrant series throughout the year that takes advantage of the city’s waterside location. Motorists and mariners turn out in convoys and fleets for the Keels & Wheels Concours D’Elegance at Lakewood Yacht Club. This car and boat show is the largest of its kind in the United States, and entrants park and dock over 200 classic, vintage and sought-after land and sea vehicles. Seabrook’s most popular citywide festival is Celebration Seabrook. Held at Meador Park, the festival brings Seabrook residents together for a day of music, barbeque and community.

Seabrook Parks

Seabrook is home to 13 parks and over 10 miles of trails connecting the parks. These trails are popular with casual walkers, bikers and runners and even inspired a local running organization. Seabrook Lucky Trails utilizes the trails for practice and hosts a variety of running events throughout Seabrook. The city’s parks showcase the diversity of Seabrook’s natural areas. Getting around Seabrook

Seabrook residents primarily use cars for transportation because the city does not have a public transportation system. Highway 146 is the primary route through town, and the city recently finished widening the road and adding an expressway bridge across Clear Lake. One of the city’s most notable roads is NASA Road 1, which leads from the city to NASA Johnson Space Center. For Seabrook residents working at the center, it’s about a six-minute morning commute. For atmospheric air travel, the George Bush Intercontinental Airport is about 45 miles away.

Clear Creek Independent School District

The city is served by the Clear Creek Independent School District, which has an A rating on Niche and is the No. 2 school district in Galveston County, according to the site.
