Seminole Lake Country Club
Waterfront estates and spacious condos
Dan Tumarkin, Realtor with Keller Williams Realty, says, “Seminole Lake Country Club offers the best of both worlds. You’ve got the clubhouse right here, plus water access where you can drop your boat in the bayou. Not many neighborhoods have golfing right on the water.” Homes range from a two-bedroom condo in Seminole on the Green for around $220,000 to a contemporary five-bedroom waterfront estate for $1.2 million. Other styles include a single-level end unit in a senior community built in the 1970s for $325,000 and an updated 1980s four-bedroom stucco ranch style with a pool for around $700,000. Adds Tumarkin, “Large, newer homes built in the mid to late ‘90s along Pebble Beach Lane feature garages underneath, so the homes are elevated — a nice benefit when you’re living in a flood plain.”Seminole Lake Country Club
The community’s central attraction is the Seminole Lake Country Club, complete with a championship 18-hole course, more than a dozen Har-Tru tennis courts, two hard courts and eight pickleball courts. The course is one of only a few statewide that uses heat-tolerant SeaDwarf Seashore Paspalum grass for a fast and firm putting surface. The club is a lively spot for hosting tournaments year-round.
Seminole Lanes
Seminole Lanes in the community offers arcade games, laser tag and league bowling, as well as party rooms for corporate or special events and holiday parties.Nearby eateries and shops
Outside the golf course’s on-site restaurant, residents dine at casual eateries in nearby strip malls. Colorful, family-owned Zom Hee Chinese is a popular spot for egg rolls, fried rice and combo platters. Across the street, El Jalisco’s menu includes fresh Mexican favorites and vegetarian options. Says Tumarkin, “For date nights or fancier dinners out, most residents will head over to Seminole City Center, which is only a couple miles west.” For dining at home, there’s a Publix grocery store right across 113th Street from the center, as well as a Winn-Dixie near Seminole Lanes.Pinellas County schools
Public schools are in the Pinellas County Schools district, and students begin at Starkey Elementary before heading to Osceola Middle. Older students move on to Hollins High, which features specialized academies for culinary arts and entertainment arts. All three schools earn a B-minus or higher from Niche.Easy access to Pinellas County
Tumarkin adds, “Residents have easy access to all the rest of Pinellas County by way of Park Boulevard and Park Street.” Most residents drive to local destinations and employers, however, Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority offers bus stations along Park Street North. Monday through Friday, buses also to downtown Tampa and the Tampa International Airport.Important to Know
Living at the apex of the Long and Cross Bayous offers scenic water access, but it's also in the flood zone, so residents will need to purchase flood insurance. Residents in Seminole Lake Country Club enjoy suburban serenity amid recreation venues, conveniences and essentials.
