A suburban balcony with urban convenience
Highland Terrace is a balcony between Seattle and Shoreline. About 12 miles north of Downtown Seattle, this populated neighborhood has tall trees and winding roads centered around Shoreline Community College. While many parts of Highland Terrace feel like a quiet suburb, urban convenience is evident along Aurora Avenue, a busy thoroughfare leading to fine dining and recreation. "We're at the tail-end of an exodus from Seattle, where families are moving to immediate suburbs, like Shoreline, for larger yards and more room for the kids," says Matthew Matulovich, Realtor with over 20 years of experience at John L. Scott Realty. "Shoreline's population is growing, and the city will change significantly over the next five to 10 years."
Throughout Highland Terrace, there are many small cul-de-sacs off of the main streets.
Sky Nursery off of Aurora is the go to shop for all things gardening and features a cafe.
