Richmond Beach is part of a historic landmass formed in the Ice Age when glaciers melted into the Puget Sound. Approximately 12 miles north of downtown Seattle in Shoreline, Richmond Beach is on a scenic coast with waterfront homes and stunning landscape panoramas. The neighborhood layout is a varied terrain that rises and falls beneath shady tree-lined streets. "Every neighborhood has an association," says Jen Post, Shoreline resident and Broker at Windermere Seattle-Greenwood. "There are always neighbors looking out for us, and I feel like there's a greater sense of community involvement in Shoreline."

QFC is a supermarket on Richmond Beach Road, and Fred Meyer is on Aurora Avenue. Edmonds is an arts district about 3 miles north where local retail thrives by a marina on the Salish Sea.
