Silver Summit is an upscale mountain community with endless outdoor activities

Silver Summit’s location in the Wasatch Mountain Range makes it a high-end mountain paradise. The community is luxurious yet rural, with a prominent country club and equestrian presence. The area's rugged terrain lends itself to outdoor recreation: hiking, mountain biking, golfing and skiing. “It’s in the Park City area, with some second homes and some primary residents. There’s a ski area near it called Deer Valley,” says Realtor Dylan Natale, who works with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Utah and has over a decade of experience in the area. The community has a 1 out of 10 CAP Index Crime Score, lower than the national average of 4.

Recreation areas, from Spring Creek Trail to Glenwild Golf Club and Spa

Silver Summit has access to many hiking trails with panoramic ridgelines and views of snow-covered peaks. Spring Creek Trail to the south provides a 16-mile loop. It goes through wildflower meadows alongside Spring Creek, a stream that flows south of the dramatic Lewis and Porcupine peaks, which can be seen in the distance. On the west side of Silver Summit, Bad Apple Trail is a multiuse pathway that crosses East Canyon Creek.

Glenwild Golf Club and Spa is in the heart of the community and offers an exclusive, luxurious experience — it was even ranked as the best course in Utah by Golf Digest in 2023. “It's a private club, so you have to be a member to golf there,” Natale says. The course has 18 holes, and the club’s amenities include a swimming pool and upscale dining. Deer Valley Resort is located on Bald Eagle Mountain, only about 10 miles south of Silver Summit. Heralded as one of the most famous skiing spots in the country, it has won the title for best ski resort in the United States for more than 10 years, according to the World Ski Awards.

Limited businesses, including Lush’s Tennessee BBQ and Anaya's Market Park City

As a more rural community, Silver Summit doesn’t have any retail centers, adding to its secluded mountain feel. The community’s sole restaurant is on its south side — Lush’s Tennessee BBQ, a relaxed joint with classics like brisket and pulled pork. It also has covered outdoor seating and live music on Friday evenings. Next door, Anaya's Market Park City serves as the local grocery store, although more options like Walmart Supercenter and Whole Foods Market are just a few miles west. The supermarkets are adjacent to Junction Commons, an outlet mall with name-brand clothing stores.
