A community coming to fruition
"In the fall, Smithfield residents love apple picking,” says Scotti. “There are tons of farms for it.” One option is Steere Orchard on Austin Avenue, which offers apple picking from August to October and peach picking in August and September. The orchard also has a farm stand, selling apples, pumpkins, baked goods and more.
