Homes can have quarter-acre lots, stone veneer or renovated interiors

Homes start in the mid $300,000s and cap just under $900,000. In South Ogden, you’re more likely to find well-maintained and renovated homes as opposed to new constructions. Townhomes come with two-car garages and back patios sectioned off by divers. Homeowner’s associations also provide pools and clubhouses. New windows and carpet are common updates among ramblers and ranch-style homes from the mid-1900s to the early 2000s. These homes are tightly tucked between next-door neighbors; most of your yard will stretch toward your sidewalk or back fence, but you can still count on finding quarter-acre lots. There’s plenty of room to park an RV, create front yard rock gardens and allow kids to play out back. Mature trees also provide a natural source of privacy in South Ogden’s long-established subdivisions.
Newer areas give a little more breathing room between neighbors and start at $700,000. Covered patios with outdoor furniture, fire pits and grills are popular. Hot tubs and in-ground trampolines comfortably fit within your grassy backyard among gardens and sheds. Trendy front-face designs include stone veneer and mulched front rock gardens with low-water plantings. These homes sit within eastern subdivisions. Here, you’re closer to the Wasatch Front, and views of snowcaps and lush greenery are often unobstructed.
