Located just west of downtown Spokane, the history-rich streets of this residential neighborhood are lined with trees as old as the city itself. Homes here are set back on manicured yards, offering plenty of private front and backyard space. The local housing market features a diverse array of styles, including ornate Victorians built before the turn of the 19th century, midcentury Arts and Crafts bungalows and spacious Tudor Revival homes. First Street leads to downtown hot spots like River Park Square Mall or Riverfront Park. Alternatively, residents can hop on the bus stop at Riverside Avenue or walk downtown in less than 30 minutes.
