Home of America’s greatest homecoming and brightest orange
Home of Oklahoma State University, Stillwater is a college town to its core. The city of almost 50,000 may be quiet in the summer when the Cowboys are out, but when the leaves change from green to orange, so does the town. Education is the backbone of the city’s economy, with the university serving as the top employer. The school offers more than 300 undergraduate programs and is known for having America’s greatest homecoming, attracting more than 80,000 visitors annually. But this city, home to thriving healthcare and manufacturing industries, is also a natural wonderland with a canopy of hickory and oak trees and a pastoral tranquility within a 15-minute drive of downtown.
Welcome to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where tradition and innovation shape the future.

Historic Downtown Stillwater
Downtown Stillwater is a historic district that spans 11 blocks. "It's small-town America," says local Rick McCormick, a Realtor with eXp Realtor and former college basketball coach. The brick storefronts evoke a charming, vintage feel, but the offerings are nothing short of modern. The strip is foodie heaven, lined by cafes, pubs, diners and more. Those headed to Eskimo Joe’s on a Friday night should don black and their brightest orange because the restaurant has been an OSU post-game hangout since its jukebox was period-accurate. "It's a legendary little spot known for their cheese fries," McCormick says. "They'll joke about it on ESPN from time to time, saying something like 'those cheese fries will give a man some lift!'" Also downtown is the city’s growing arts scene, centered around museums and galleries, including Modella Art Gallery and the Oklahoma State University Museum of Art.
Downtown Stillwater blends historic charm with modern energy, creating a vibrant heart of the community.

From vintage bungalows to spacious New Traditionals
Stillwater has many historic neighborhoods, and some of the city’s oldest properties are the 1920s bungalows around downtown Stillwater. Ranch-style homes offering larger floorplans were built across the city in the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s. The turn of the 21st century ushered in New Traditional houses, many displaying elements inspired by Craftsman and Tudor Revival styles. The median home price in Stillwater is around $240,000, almost $200,000 less than the national median.
