Gone fishin’ in Stonington
Stonington is a coastal village in New England that embraces its life by the sea. Situated by the southeastern border between Connecticut and Rhode Island, Stonington has the last commercial fishing fleet in the state with numerous seaside excursions in the Long Island Sound. With historical homes, A-rated schools and waterfront amenities, there are many reasons why 18,000 people call Stonington home. “It’s the charming architecture, it’s the people, it’s the world-class sailing and boating,” says Judi Caracausa, William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty associate broker. “There’s really something for everybody in Stonington.”

Many of the colonial and Cape Cod homes on the waterfront have private docks and are between $500,000 and $850,000. Larger homes with 3,000 to 5,000 square feet of space and 1- to 5-acre lots will be most expensive between $1 million and $3 million.
