Neat, deed-restricted neighborhood with nearby golf and recreation
Eight miles south of Homosassa Springs sits Oak Village at Sugarmill Woods, a neighborhood known for its well-maintained properties. “It’s a nice, safe community with deed restrictions,” says Tony Viggiano, a Realtor with Tropic Shores Realty. Homes in the neighborhood range from 1980s ranch-style to newer-build contemporary properties, with some boasting inground pools out back. With these homes having deed restrictions, homeowners are limited with what they can do to their property. The neighborhood is near two country clubs, Sugarmill Woods Country Club and Citrus National Golf Club, giving locals a golfing community to join. The area’s proximity to the Suncoast Trail and the Chassahowitzka River Campground and its assignment to Citrus County Schools add to its appeal.

This place is Gods waiting room. Excessive amounts of Karen of the Court live here. Old people constantly in other peoples business. Only maybe two or three builders building up to date floor plans. The old, has been builders still relying on sales to old people with old outdated floor plans and conning people into believing they build a good product. Again old thought process goes into the design, poor efficiency and poor craftsmanship, preying on boomers. Surrounding businesses cater to old people, so most of the food is bland, serving size is small, and greasy spoons prevail. Generally nothing worth while is moving into the area because the demographics, don’t want to invest money in an area of curmudgeons. Most people only update their homes when they are ready to sell so be prepared for old floor plans painted grey with fake wood cabinets and small tile and old carpet. Good part is you’re not in a overpopulated area so life runs slower.
