In the northwest corner of the neighborhood, The Point Shopping Center features familiar names like Giant Grocer, Burlington and Panera. Residents can also choose a dining atmosphere that fits their mood from the handful of diverse eateries along Derry Street. The Promenade offers an extensive menu of homey breakfasts in a relaxed family-style setting, while Swatara Restaurant and Bar serves thoughtfully plated, elevated Asian and Indian dishes. More Asian specialties can be picked up next door at Pho Kim’s or Mom’s MoMo and Deli.For more than a century, fruit trees and vegetables have been farmed in Strites Orchard, which is located south of the highway. During the 1950s, the family decided to expand and opened a market that is now a well-liked local institution. They provide bread, fresh vegetables, and a variety of other foods. Visitors may also pay to harvest their own sunflowers, apples, grapes, and pumpkins at the location.
