Home prices are may be between $250,000 to $450,000 for cottages, Craftsman bungalows and ranch styles. Two-story bi-levels, Colonial Revivals and New Traditionals with attached garages are often around $450,000 to $700,000. Properties were built throughout the 20th century, and recent constructions within the last decade are also plentiful in Eastside. The streets are straight and gridded, and yards, which are sometimes accompanied by fences, are usually between 2,000 and 5,000 square feet. This upscale bistro serves steakhouse classics and fresh seafood in a spacious setting, offering views of Downtown Tacoma and Commencement Bay. For a sweet ending to the day, stop by the family-run Helen's Donuts and Ice Cream, and try pairing a crispy donut with a scoop of ice cream. Grocery options include Country Boy 76 Market and Safeway, with Target and Walmart about 5 miles north of the neighborhood. Tacoma Mall is located several miles to the west with over 100 retailers.
