Luxury living among rolling hills and world-class wineries in Southern California
Just 6 miles southeast of downtown Temecula, Morgan Hill is a master-planned community at the gateway to Temecula Valley Wine County. Winding hillside streets are lined with stylish homes in the backyard of everything that Temecula has to offer. “We have this small-town community feel but we have big city amenities. We have the restaurants, we have the nightlife, but it’s a great community feel,” says Christine Damko, economic development manager for the City of Temecula. Developed in the early 2000s, the neighborhood is close to several parks, highly rated public schools, and shops and restaurants along the bustling Temecula Parkway.

A taste of Temecula Valley Wine Country
Residents are only a short drive from some of California’s finest vineyards and tasting rooms in Temecula Valley Wine Country. The valley draws winds from the Pacific Ocean, which gives it a Mediterranean climate and makes it a prime location for viticulture. Rancho California Road is lined with vineyards and wineries on sprawling estates that resemble the French countryside. Callaway Vineyard and Winery, for example, was recognized by Newsweek as the Best Tasting Room in the nation in 2024. “It’s a part of our culture. It’s a part of our brand. When we talk to people in trying to recruit businesses we bring a bottle of wine,” Damko said. “Not only does it bring tourism dollars to our community, but it’s also part of the resident culture.” For everyday necessities, Temecula Parkway has supermarkets like Stater Bros. and Walmart, as well as a number of quick-serve and sit-down restaurants. The Vail Ranch Center and Redhawk Towne Center shopping malls are located on the same strip. Damko says the parkway is one of the city’s busiest commercial corridors with projects constantly in the works. “You’ll find a retailer and a restaurant will have a location around the mall but they’ll also want a location on the Parkway. From a commercial standpoint, it’s very high-end demand. There’s not that much space left," Damko noted. Vail Pizzeria offers quality pizzas, sides, salads and a selection of beers and wines. Vail Ranch Center is also home to The Smok'd Hog, which serves up homestyle greens and savory smoked meats in a family-friendly setting.

At Galleron Park, plentiful green space and an off-leash dog park give people and pups plenty of space to burn off energy. Decorative pergolas, European-style plantings and seating areas at the park set the mood for picnics and scenic views of Temecula Valley. There are also several public golf courses nearby, including Redhawk Golf Club and Journey at Pechanga at Pechanga Resort.
