Paloma del Sol is a master-planned development that's minutes from lively Old Town Temecula and local amenities, Zoned to a top-rated school district and known for being an active community, Paloma del Sol is just as in-demand as it was in the 1990s. "It's a stunningly beautiful neighborhood. I remember when it was being built, and everyone was flocking to live there," says Susannah Levicki, a Realtor with Capitis Real Estate, who specializes in Riverside County and has lived in Temecula for several years. "The homes were built quite a while ago but still look amazing. The HOA and homeowners have a lot of pride in Paloma. It's a real community where all the neighbors love to hang out."

Homes feature Mediterranean and Spanish Revival styles

Nearly all homes in Paloma del Sol were built between 1990 and 1998 as the community began to develop and expand. Many homes have been renovated for both structural fixes and interior updates and feature Mediterranean and Spanish Revival designs with stucco exteriors, red-tiled roofs and arched features. Prices range between $600,000 and $900,000, depending on square footage, recent renovations and luxury amenities such as private pools. The neighborhood's CAP Index Crime Score is 2, with 4 being the national average out of 10.

Paloma del Sol falls under the Temecula Valley Unified School District, which is rated an A on Niche. Most children will start at the neighborhood's A-graded Paloma Elementary School. The school uses positive reinforcement for struggling students and has several reward systems for encouragement and behavioral support. Staff is on hand to provide occupational therapy and behavioral health check-ins. Kids can move on to A-minus-rated Temecula Middle School before heading to A-rated Temecula Valley High School.

Paloma del Sol's many parks and nearby golf courses are open year-round

The community has several open green spaces and recreational areas, ensuring that residents are always within walking distance of playgrounds, community pools and sports fields. There are also miles of walking trails. "Being active in the outdoors is important for many people living here. The HOAs and city do a great job keeping the parks clean," Levicki says. "I've never seen trash or bad maintenance in Paloma." The 18-hole Redhawk Golf Course is only 2 miles south and is open to the public and members.

Shopping is abundant, and Old Town Temecula brims with specialty stores and restaurants

Stretching along Temecula Parkway are several shopping centers and plazas, all just outside Paloma del Sol's entrance. Local businesses and restaurants mixed in with grocery stores and large retailers like Walmart and PetSmart. Less than a mile away are the blocks of Old Town Temecula that brim with specialty shops and eateries. Residents enjoy the brisket at Swing Inn Cafe & BBQ, owned by actor Dean Norris, and browsing for locally sourced gifts at The Gardener's Cottage. Neighborhood gatherings happen year-round

Paloma del Sol residents take pride in getting together with their neighbors, from backyard barbecues to holiday gatherings. "Every year for Halloween, we drive over to our friend's house in Paloma," Levicki says. "A bunch of the neighbors get together for pumpkin carving and line [the pumpkins] up down the street. It's a big party," she says. "There's always something like that happening."

The area is connected by I-15 and near a major hospital and medical offices

Temecula Parkway borders the neighborhood's southern edge. It funnels into Interstate 15, just a mile west. From Paloma del Sol, the Palm Springs International Airport is 69 miles northeast and is served by several commercial airlines. Temecula Valley Hospital, adjacent to Paloma del Sol, anchors a large medical plaza.
