The Tribute is a peninsula community on Lewisville Lake with nearby shopping and green spaces

Residents of The Tribute live surrounded by amenities. The master-planned community in The Colony sits on a Lewisville Lake peninsula. The neighborhood is close to shopping centers, something other communities on the lake don’t offer, and nearby green spaces let people enjoy the region’s nature in different ways. “It’s like living in a resort community, but it's in a location that has easy access to everything else,” says Jen Brant, a Realtor with Local Pro Realty LLC and a former resident of The Tribute.

Golf courses, pickleball courts, wetland trails and youth sports fields

The community is home to two golf courses. The Tribute Golf Links is an homage to some of Scotland’s most revered holes, while Old American Golf Club is designed to look and feel like the sport did in the 1920s and 1930s. Membership is not required to book a tee time, though weekend mornings are reserved for members. Other neighborhood amenities include pickleball courts, fishing spots, playgrounds and a dog park. “If you have an active lifestyle, this is a great neighborhood for you,” Brant says. Wynnwood Park has a hiking and biking trail through the area’s wetlands that end with a view of the lake. Just outside The Tribute is Eastvale Park, which has youth soccer fields. Several churches are to the south of the community.

Easy access to Dallas and the airport, though there is only one way off the peninsula

The neighborhood is close to Farm to Market Road 423, known locally as Main Street, and a few miles from Texas State Highway 121. It is about 20 miles from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and around 30 miles from the Dallas Downtown Historic District. Getting off the peninsula can be a challenge. “There’s only one way in and out,” Brant says. “During heavy traffic times, it can take longer, so you have to leave earlier. And you go through several school zones.”

American brunch, Italian and Indian entrees and Legacy West

Salute Italian Restaurant is an authentic, upscale eatery. Kuppanna serves food inspired by the Kongu Nadu region of India. A Walmart Supercenter is close to the community. To the south, Lewisville Towne Crossing has a Target and a Dollar Tree. It is less than 10 miles from Legacy West, a mall with boutiques as well as high-end stores like Gucci, Coach and Louis Vuitton.
