Suburb situated between green space and commercial areas
Deer Run is a Central Thornton neighborhood with mature trees along residential streets, situated between various retail centers and parks. “This is a great spot for first-time homebuyers because it’s a good opportunity to get that entry-level price point for the area,” says Lauren Rowland, a broker with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Kenney & Company since 2013. “Also, with its location in Thornton, you’re within 30 minutes of downtown Denver for anybody needing to commute. It’s a good in-between location since Boulder is also about 30 minutes away.”

Trail Winds Park is just north of the neighborhood and has multiuse fields, a popular skate park and a recreation center with a pool. Nearly two miles of trail loop around the reservoir at Eastlake Shores Park, west of Deer Run.
