Eastlake Village
Modern Craftsman homes in cul-de-sacs
Most Eastlake Village residents own their homes; about 34% of the population rents. The neighborhood’s residential asphalt streets have tree-shaded sidewalks leading to small cul-de-sacs. Homes include early 2000s townhouses on the east side of the neighborhood and single-family homes scattered throughout. Townhouses have narrow driveways and small wooden decks. Prices fall in the $400,000 range, and homeowners can expect to pay around $250 in monthly HOA fees. Single-family homes like modern Craftsman and ranch-style homes are spread throughout Eastlake Village; these properties sit on well-manicured lots with small, open front porches and sometimes three-car garages. Some homes are within walking distance of East Lake Shores Park. Prices range from roughly $475,000 to $670,000, and some homeowners pay around $80 in monthly HOA fees.Strolling past the pond in East Lake Shores Park
The popular East Lake Shores Park sits north of the neighborhood. Visitors stroll or bike around the reservoir or play games at the Eastlake Village Tennis Courts. Small pocket parks with benches, swings and slides can also be found around the neighborhood. A few miles south is Woodglen/Brookshire Park, which has picnic space, athletic fields and the Woodglen Outdoor Roller Rink. Carpenter Park is roughly 3 miles from Eastlake Village and includes sand volleyball courts, shuffleboard and paddleboard rentals for its on-site pond.Sipping beers at Lake Avenue Inn
Eastlake Village is heavily residential, but it’s also right next to shops and restaurants. Lisa Anne’s Country Cupboard Bakery is known for its homemade cinnamon rolls and sticky buns, and Lake Avenue Inn serves wings and draft beers. “Those restaurants have kept their hometown feel. When you walk in, you’re a part of the family,” Cavallaro says. The Mission Trace North Shopping Center near the southeastern corner has a King Soopers grocery store and small businesses like JNJ Comic Books and Jessica’s Fashion Boutique. The Denver Premium Outlets are 3 miles northwest of the community and have several retail giants like Forever 21 and H&M.Gymnastics champs at Mountain Range High
Jefferson County School District No. 1 serves the area and scores an A-minus from Niche. Kids start at Stellar Elementary, which scores a B from Niche, and continue to the B-minus rated Century Middle. Mountain Range High is rated B and known for its athletic teams, including a gymnastics team that won the state title in 2024.Quick access to Denver RTD train station
Cavallaro says East 124th Avenue can get congested since people consistently commute east and west of the area. The road has bike lanes and is close to an RTD train station that provides service to downtown Denver about 15 miles south. HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge hospital is about 7 miles south via Interstate 25, and Denver International Airport is 22 miles southeast.Year-round festivals near Eastlake Village
Thornton has various yearly festivals that Eastlake Village residents can take advantage of. In June, Carpenter Park Fields hosts Thorntonfest, a citywide event with a craft fair, beer garden and the Thorntonfest Car Show. WinterFest is held at the same park each December, featuring ice-carving demonstrations, an ice skating pond and visits from Santa.
