Residential area Riverdale Park has a family-friendly atmosphere
In Riverdale Park, street lamps tower over residential roads, linking the neighborhood’s townhouse communities to the single-family homes. Parks, trails and green spaces are etched into the landscape alongside communal sidewalks. “It’s a growing community with new restaurants, specifically some that are popular in the city, so it’s cool that it’s developing out into the suburbs of Thornton,” says Katie Robinson, a broker associate with MODUS Real Estate, who was licensed in 2018. “In addition to that, it’s very family friendly. There’s a good sense of community for people with kids to get them together with other families.”

Townhouses and new traditionals with flat or gabled roofs
Craftsman-inspired townhouses and new traditional single-family homes were erected in rows in the early 2000s. A second and final wave of construction occurred around 2020. Some new traditionals are Prairie-inspired, with low-pitch roofs, while others have multiple gables and a combination of exterior materials, including panel siding and brick or stone accents. These one- to two-story homes are priced between $560,000 and $680,000. Meanwhile, townhouses cost between $385,000 and $450,000. The Riverdale Park Homeowners Association oversees the maintenance of shared spaces and trash pickup for single-family and townhouse communities. These efforts are supported by monthly association payments of around $40 for single-family residences and $350 for townhouses.
Riverdale Park features a mix of charming single-family homes and modern townhouses, making it attractive to both first-time buyers and longtime residents.
