Classic, 20th-century homes dating as far back as the 1920s populate the neighborhood. Bungalows, American Foursquares, Tudors and Cape Cods are the most prominent architectural styles. Garages and driveways are common, keeping the streets relatively clear, but some residents still use street parking. Most lots are less than an eighth of an acre but are suitable for a small garden. Due to the neighborhood's age, homes are in various conditions, and prices vary. At nearly 60 acres, Bowman Park is the largest of the four neighborhood parks, offering lush greenery, scenic trails, and seven baseball diamonds. The park is also the starting point of the paved Chessie Circle Trail, an 11-mile north-to-south route through western Toledo. Pine Glen Park's nearly 16 acres include paved trails that weave through the park, often used by hikers, runners, and walkers. It also has a playground and a tennis court.
