Developed in the first half of the 20th century, West Toledo's DeVeux neighborhood retains many of the hallmarks of 1950s suburbia: a mix of housing styles, neighborhood parks and direct access to downtown. Classic, 20th-century homes dating as far back as the 1920s populate the neighborhood. Bungalows, American Foursquares, Tudors and Cape Cods are the most prominent architectural styles. Garages and driveways are common, keeping the streets relatively clear, but some residents still use street parking. Most lots are less than an eighth of an acre but are suitable for a small garden. Due to the neighborhood's age, homes are in various conditions, and prices vary.
