It’s really affordable and there’s a shortage of real estate.”
In addition to housing prices that are well below the national average, Paramount offers a quiet, suburban vibe and proximity to work or play in Buffalo. “It’s close to Buffalo, but it’s still the suburbs,” Schiavitti says. “A lot of people who live here work in Buffalo. It’s just a 15-minute commute to downtown.”
Colonial Revivals and Cape Cods from the 1940s and 50s
Located less than 15 miles north of Buffalo by way of Interstate 190, those looking to move to Paramount will primarily find single-family homes built in the 1940s and 50s. They come in a mix of styles, including Colonial Revivals, Cape Cods, Tudors, and ranch homes. Row after row of houses can be found along sidewalk-lined streets. They commonly rest on compact lots shadowed by the mature maple and elm trees that are common to the area.

Public school students may attend Herbert Hoover Elementary, Herbert Hoover Middle and Kenmore West Senior High. All three schools score solid B Niche grades. Nicknamed Ken-West, famous alumni from the high school include CNN news anchor, Wolf Blitzer.
