Southwood Sunray's proximity to Sepulveda and Hawthorne boulevards makes for easy drives to the coast and to nearby areas like the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Sepulveda Boulevard rarely sees heavy traffic, but Hawthorne Boulevard can get fairly busy in the afternoon. These roads also connect the neighborhood to Route 107 and Interstate 405, which allow for relatively straightforward commuting to other parts of the Greater Los Angeles metropolitan area, though traffic can get congested during rush hours. It’s a 12-mile drive from the neighborhood to Los Angeles International Airport via local roads and Interstate 405. The Line 7 bus route passes by the neighborhood, stopping along Sepulveda Boulevard, and providing a direct route to Redondo Beach.Torrance Certified Farmers' Market
The Torrance Certified Farmers' Market is held twice weekly in Charles H. Wilson Park, which is located just east of Southwood Sunray. It features everything from produce to baked goods to seafood, and runs year round.
