Upscale homes, lush forests and winding country roads in northern Chicagoland
For some folks, watching the sun set over a lake may be the type of experience reserved for camping trips or vacations. For residents living on the waterfronts of Timberlake, it’s a part of daily life – but having a distinctive view doesn’t take away from its beauty in the slightest. Flanked by the village of Tower Lakes on the west side and Hawthorn Woods to the east, residents here enjoy an easygoing life between Illinois forest and pockets of water. And it proves that rural doesn’t have to mean disconnected: “It’s a closeknit community where neighbors get to know one another. And it’s only about an hour outside Chicago,” says Realtor Melanie Parsons of Keller Williams Success Realty.
